Grilled Cheese Sandwich with Donut for Bread

The above grilled cheddar cheese sandwich served between two halves of a glazed donut (Look Here for possible inspiration) is probably the least fancy of a selection of Grilled Cheese Donut Sandwiches found on the menu at Cincinnati’s Tom & Chee restaurant, which specializes in grilled cheese concoctions of every conceivable combination. I wish I lived in Cincinnati.

McDonalds in Austria Launches the Deep Fried McRib

McRibster Deep Fried McRib Sandwich

McDonalds restaurants in the country of Austria have just started serving a limited-engagement specialty sandwich called the McRibster. As if the Double Down didn’t go quite far enough, the McRibster is basically a McRib meat thing which has been breaded, deep fried and made all the more artery clogging by the addition of delicious bacon and cheese. It makes my left arm hurt just reading about it.

Yes it Exists: Hello Kitty Sandwich Ring

You might be saying to yourself right now (and quite understandably), “What the Hell am I looking at?” Well, what we have here is a Hello Kitty Sandwich Ring. That is, a piece of bizarre costume jewelry where the “Jewel” is a miniature sandwich with the face of Hello Kitty as the bread. Yes, I just typed that. I have no more words for this abomination.

The McRib Returns

“McRib is People.” That’s what my friends and I used to say about McDonalds’ boneless McRib sandwich when it first appeared back in the ’70s. McDonalds just announced that they’re bringing the McRib back to selected restaurants as a limited-time promotion, but I can’t imagine who would want to eat this thing.

Random Thoughts on KFC’s Double Down Chicken Sandwich

Is It Wrong That I Want To Eat This Thing? It Looks So…Tasty

I know I’m late to the party blogging about something made with fried chicken, bacon and cheese, but I think I figured out why KFC has begun to make what is essentially a Redneck version of  Chicken Cordon Bleu. KFC does not actually expect the vast majority of people (or dogs for that matter) to eat this thing. In fact, I would imagine that they do not anticipate much in the way of direct profits. I think they did this to skew our sense of what is acceptable to eat.
