It was only my second day in London, and we had already packed a full day with off-beat touristy activities like spending three hours in Sotheby’s drooling over a lifetime’s collection of Freddie Mercury’s earthly possessions. Giants By Os Gemeos on Granville Island
Granville Island is a tourist destination populated with specialty shops, food markets and art galleries that’s accessible via a short ferry ride from the Vancouver waterfront. It was there that I stumbled upon this monumental work of public art locked away behind the security fences at Ocean Concrete. I immediately recognized the larger-than-life mural, entitled Giants, as the creation of one of my favorite street artist duos, Brazilian twin brothers Gustavo and Otávio Pandolfo a.k.a. Os Gemeos. Yes, it Exists: Food Truck Magazine
This morning, I was walking to my office when a guy dressed in full on Chef Whites handed me what I thought was a takeout menu, but which turned out to be a copy of Food Truck Magazine. Apparently, Food Truck Magazine is now a thing. This makes sense since Food Truck competition shows are all over the TV and there are even Food Trucks parked in front of the Metropolitan Museum of Art (see page 10 for a story on this hot button issue).
