Sometimes, the only quality a song needs to make it into this column is that I like the way it sounds, and the way the video makes me feel. If you’ve ever tried to imagine what Echo and The Bunnymen’s “Killing Moon” would sound like reimagined as a country song, I suggest it might sound a lot like Neighbor Lady’s “Let It Bleed” — a minor chord masterpiece that captures and conveys a lifetime of memories in under four minutes. This colorful box truck decorated with graffiti and a terrific image of Pinky and The Brain was spotted on East 14th Street near First Avenue.

The text on the truck says, “Tell a friend to tell a friend that it’s them again…”

This is the restored console of the Robert Morton Organ originally installed in the Loew’s Kings Theatre in 1929. The design is one of the flagship models of the company, which collectively became known as the Wonder Mortons, because they were all installed in the five Loew’s “Wonder Theatres” built in the New York City area toward the end of the 1920s. The striking decoration and design of this console is not unique to this particular instrument, but it is a consistent feature of the Wonder Mortons. Christian Siriano designed this dress for actress Leslie Jones to wear to a film premiere. Jones had tweeted that due to her physique, no fashion designer was willing to dress her for red carpet events. Siriano responded to her, saying he would be proud to design a dress for her.
