As part of its Spring/Summer 2019 line, Dior has partnered with artist KAWS (aka Brian Donnelly) to use a signature Dior Pink version of the iconic BFF figure in a variety of store promotions and campaigns. I spotted this guy — who is about 8-feet tall, suited up in a sharp Dior suit, with hands, shoes and head made from tufts of pink roses (which are actually paper facsimiles) — in the front window of the Dior pop-up shop at the corner of West 14th Street and 9th Avenue in NYC’s Meatpacking District.

This colorful box truck decorated with graffiti and a terrific image of Pinky and The Brain was spotted on East 14th Street near First Avenue.

The text on the truck says, “Tell a friend to tell a friend that it’s them again…”

When I arrived for the start of my morning commute at the bus stop near the corner of Avenue C and 14th Street, adjacent to Stuyvesant Town, I encountered a lovely surprise in the form of this psychedelic tape mural stretching across the back glass of the bus shelter. The geometric design by E.S. Klein, also known as Tape Artist, (@tapeartist) must have gone up prior to this past holiday weekend. I love it!

The multi-color design is meticulously applied and really brightens up the bus shelter. My guess is that Klein put this up over the course of couple of late night sessions.

I hope that the City and the MTA lets it stay up.

If you want to add the Stained Glass Tape Mural to your next Urban Street Art Safari, here is the Bus Shelter’s location.

Over the course of three weeks in September (though the exact beginning and completion dates are unknown to me), I watched Brazilian street artists (and twin brothers), Os Gemeos, paint the above murals, which cover the exposed facades of two buildings that border a vacant lot, located on the north side of West 14th Street between 6th and 7th Avenues. The murals portray two rival break dancing crews from the ’80s. I imagine that this fun piece, which is a great example of Os Gemeos very distinctive style, will stay up until someone decides to put up a building. Which could happen at any time.
