Hey remember back in the spring of 2013, when Jeff Koons launched his magnificent Gazing Ball series? I sure do. Gazing Ball was a collection of stark white Greco-Roman statuary, augmented by assorted replicas of common objects such as a Mail Box or Snowman, each of which was enhanced with a bright blue mirrored globe, also known as a Gazing Ball. Trust me: it was Rad.

Dude, Looks Like a Billboard
This heavenly billboard, which apparently has something to do with California, is located at the popular corner of 44th Street and 11th Avenue in Manhattan and is owned by Mother New York. The Billboard’s artwork changes regularly. This photo was taken during Fashion Week in mid-September, 2014.

Robert Montgomery at C24 Gallery
To be honest, if a work of art also ‘lights up,’ I’m in. So it’s a bit appropriate that I was attracted into the C24 Gallery on a recent Saturday by the light emitting from London-based artist Robert Montgomery’s poetic, text-based installation works as seen from the sidewalk through gallery windows. Random!
