Over the weekend, I took a trip to the New York City Jewelry, Antique & Object Show at the Metropolitan Pavilion, where I was delighted to find  a booth from favorite vendor — a veritable shrine to the color Pink courtesy of Gravitas Antiques of Miami. Gravitas’ online presence may be minimal, but trust me: their eye for exceptional vintage objects speaks for itself.

Enter this fabulous vintage Pink Trifari Flamingo Brooch, flaunting gold-toned glamour, a body sparkling with Pink Rhinestones, and  a luxurious swoop of red-toned enamel tail feathers. This flashy feathered friend was spotted perched proudly in the booth for Style on Lafayette, a boutique treasure trove based in Suffern, NY, during the fun and fabulous NYC Spring Jewelry, Antique & Object Show at the Metropolitan Pavilion.

Highlights from The NYC Autumn Jewelry and Object Show

Nostalgia is a powerful emotion, transporting people to special moments and evoking feelings of comfort. The NYC Autumn Jewelry and Object Show, whose inaugural event I recently attended — really gets the significance of jewelry, watches, and art objects in capturing and preserving memories. This new show, which ran from November 16th to 19th (in partnership with NYC Jewelry Week) at the Metropolitan Pavilion,  provided a unique opportunity for both trade professionals and consumers to explore and acquire pieces that hold historical and cultural significance.
