Cesare Colombo (1930 – 1971), known as Joe Colombo, was an Italian industrial designer. Colombo’s Tube Chair (1969–70) is an iconic piece of modular furniture that embodies his futuristic and flexible design philosophy. Manufactured by Flexform, the chair consists of four cylindrical cushions of varying diameters, which can be rearranged to create different seating configurations.
