Back in February 2023, I first shared my discovery of Scott’s Protein Balls, a snack that stood out for being indulgently delicious while still plant-based, low in calories, and free of the usual fillers and preservatives you find in many protein snacks. With their soft, cookie-dough-like texture and dessert-inspired flavors, they quickly became one of my favorite guilt-free ways to curb cravings.

These clean, paleo-friendly cookies check all the right boxes: they’re gluten-free, grain-free, dairy-free, and protein rich, with no processed sweeteners or weird additives. Just simple, whole food ingredients like almond flour, healthy fats, and nuts that make each bite feel like an indulgence without the sugar crash.

Each variety has its own unique personality, and yes, I tried all three (for science, of course). Let’s get to it!

Do you like Coffee? I sure do. I especially love my K-Cup Coffeemaker for its convenience, ease of clean up, and the seemingly endless variety of flavors and drink types available in those little pods. I love it! But I also love the Earth, and the amount of waste that accumulates in landfills from those same convenient pods is not lost on me. Just because I recycle and compost the pods and their contents doesn’t mean anyone else does.

I’ve used coffee that comes in compostable pods in the past and those are great, but now there’s a new player in the sustainable pod game: Cambio Roasters — the coffee pod company behind the first aluminum K-Cup. Let’s check it out.
