I didn’t get turned on to the unique sculptural style of John Chamberlain until his Spring 2012 Retrospective at The Guggenheim, at which point Chamberlain had only recently passed away. Chamberlain was best known for his dynamic sculptures created with scrap metal from salvaged cars, which are held in many public collections.

Giant Fish Sculpture Made From Recycled Plastic Bottles!

The Big Fishes is a wonderfully whimsical sculpture that was made from collected and assembled discarded plastic bottles. What a cool way to go green! The sculpture is currently installed at Botafogo Beach in Rio De Janeiro, Brazil. At night, the work is illuminated so that beachgoers can continue to enjoy the piece even when it’s dark out!

Tide Pig Night Light
Behold: The Tide Pig, a comforting nightlight created from an upcycled empty jug of Tide Laundry Detergent, which looks like an adorable pig. Oh, the cleverness. Tide Pig is the creation of designer Steven Wine of Abyu Lighting, and can be purchased from BNO Design for $185 at This Link.
