The serendipitous discovery of this Rihanna mural, located in the industrial Arts District of Downtown LA adjacent to the newly reconstructed Six Street Bridge, occurred when Geoffrey and I arrived at the Luna Luna Art Amusement Park exhibit and spotted it from across the parking lot. Although we were quite a ways away from it, I just had to walk over for a closer look.

Pink Thing of the Day: JoJo Siwa Breakfast Cereal

JoJo Siwa is a 19-year old singer/dancer who dresses like she’s 10. She also makes $2 million a year doing YouTube videos and has her own breakfast cereal.  Yes, I just typed that. JoJo’s cereal is officially called Strawberry Bop and, as you can see by the photo on the box, it is (mostly) Pink. The crunchy, corn-puff-based cereal reportedly has a flavor similar to the  Strawberry Shortcake Cereal. There are also reports that eating it will turn your poop pink. TMI.

For true pop music devotees — and particularly for those who came of age in the ’70s and ’80s2016 delivered a year of The Day The Music Died-level emotional trauma on a monthly basis. Like some kind of Plague Upon the Rock Stars, 2016 wiped out an entire lifetimes’ worth of legends, including David Bowie in early January, then Keith Emerson in March, Prince in April, Leonard Cohen in November and, as the year’s final fuck you — on Christmas day no less — we lost George Michael.
