More and more it seems, food allergies or intolerances to commonly used ingredients such as nuts, wheat, soy and dairy no longer have to keep you from indulging in your favorite foods. For example, Yogurt lovers who have been missing out on this creamy treat due to a lactose intolerance can now enjoy healthy and great tasting Good Karma dairy-free yogurt, which I recently had the chance to taste test at home, after first meeting product representatives last summer at a food show.

Vegan-friendly and free of major allergens, Good Karma is versatile, creamy, fresh and delicious.  This dairy free yogurt is made with flax milk (derived from cold-pressed flaxseed oil) which is a rich source of Omega-3 healthy fats. Each serving of Good Karma contains 5-6 grams of plant-based protein, plus 7 live and active cultures to aid digestion. Even better: each 6 ounce serving has only 90 calories!

As you can see by the photo above of the Blueberry variety spooned into a serving dish, Good Karma is very creamy in texture and not at all gelatinous, as is Greek-style yogurt. The fruit is already blended in, rather than being at the bottom of the cup, so you get a very consistent fruit flavor in every bite.

Using plant-based milks, the company’s goal is always to create a delicious yogurt that gets as close as possible to a traditional dairy yogurt, while also being free of all major allergens, with added protein and a tangy, fruity taste that makes you smile!

Besides these three luscious fruit flavors, Good Karma dairy free yogurt also comes in comes in Plain and Vanilla varieties.

Parfait Recipe

I tasted the Vanilla Good Karma at the aforementioned food show, where I was served a tasty fun yogurt  parfait recipe that knocked my socks off! Noosa: The World’s Most Delicious Yoghurt

Previously on Worleygig.com, we have made a claim that Noosa brand Finest Yoghurt is, in fact, the World’s Most Delicious Yoghurt. I’m confident that I have the background and experience to make such a claim, because I’ve been eating yoghurt since the days when it tasted like a cup of sour cream with a blob of jam at the bottom. Yoghurt is a food that I have been sampling for multiple decades, through every fad and every taste sensation up to and including yoghurt that masquerades as a fancy dessert and the current jump-on-the-bandwagon craze, Greek yoghurt. So, when I say that Noosa makes the best tasting yogurt I have eaten in my life, you can take me at my word.

Of course, I’m sure that Noosa would prefer it if, rather than than taking my word for it, you would try for yourself. Recently, the good folks at Noosa were kind enough to send me perhaps a dozen cups of their yogurt to eat and enjoy. I am going to share with you today the reasons why I love this yogurt so much and to suggest that you would probably enjoy it very much as well.

Although it is now made on a dairy farm in Colorado, Noosa is named for a Coastal Area in Australia where the yoghurt was first created.

Perhaps what stands out most for me is Noosa’s wildly appealing, almost velvety consistency. It has the thick richness of Greek yogurt but is lighter and creamier. Noosa also comes in a ton of delicious natural and fruit flavors including Mango, Peach, Raspberry, Strawberry Rhubarb, Honey, Lemon, Tart Cherry (each of which I have tasted personally ) as well as Blueberry, Passion Fruit and Plain.

Each container of Noosa has just the right amount of added fruit and juice to make it lightly sweet and flavorful but to keep the true, tangy essence of real yoghurt. Calorie counts per cup range from 240 to 290, with a fat content that ranges from 11 to 14 g (which is one reason why it tastes so freaking good).

Here is a true story of how I made potentially an entire family into fans of Noosa Yoghurt. Since I had so much in my fridge, I brought a container of Raspberry flavored Noosa to the office to share with my boss. I advised him that it would be the best yoghurt he had ever eaten. After two bites he agreed, declaring, “This is the best yoghurt I’ve ever tasted!” He immediately visited the Noosa website, where he happily discovered that Noosa is sold at several supermarkets in his town. Then he went home and asked his wife to buy some for the family. Voila, New Fans!

Noosa yoghurt comes in 8 ounce resealable containers, so it makes a satisfying midday snack or dessert. And if you want to save a bit to eat later, you can conveniently replace the plastic lid on the cup and know it will be fresh and tasty when you come back to it. As a bonus, if you are a person who has a need for reusable 8 ounce containers, these make perfect little containers for leftovers and small household items (always remember to recycle).

Noosa is the only brand of yoghurt I will ever buy. Please visit Noosa Yoghurt Dot Com to learn more about Noosa Finest Yoghurt and to download a Money Saving Coupon to use towards your next purchase!
