One of my favorite recent Christmas presents is the set of vintage Pink Pig Salt and Pepper Shakers that I received from a neighbor. These little guys are so adorable that I have not even been able to take then as far as the kitchen. Instead, they sit on my beside table, so that I can see them as soon as I wake up each morning and get my daily squee out of the way. Squee!
Just so nobody gets confused, the girl pig (with the red bow) has an S on her back for Salt, and the boy pig has P for Pepper! Helpful!
Don’t forget that next week, on February 5th, we will be celebrating Chinese New Year, ushering in the Year of The Pig! Yay!
Geoffrey’s neighbor has the most adorable dog, Teddy (pictured above). Teddy (pronounced “Teddeeeee!”) is an inquisitive and friendly puppy, and thus is fond of traveling from his owner’s apartment over to Geoffrey’s via their adjacent balconies. Here we see Teddy posed ever so cutely in a terracotta planter. “Teddeeeee!” we called out to him, but he would not come into the apartment for a visit. Not on this occasion, anyway.
Nasty Pig is a clothing store catering to (Gay) men with hot bodies. Its slogan is “Fun Clothing That Gets you Laid” (check out their Website for evidence) — and isn’t that how many adults aspire to dress? I recently passed by the Nasty Pig one Saturday evening on my way from an art opening to dine at Elmo, a new favorite eatery of mine, and was instantly charmed by this family of what I am calling “Leather Pigs” cavorting in the store’s display window.
How cute are they? Answer: So Cute! But also, Stylish!
Nasty Pig is located at 265A West 19th Street (Between 7th and 8th Avenues), New York City, NY 10011 if you are looking to score some snazzy threads!
