While wandering the aisles at Michael’s craft store this week, I spotted a dazzling sight: a Mirrored Mosaic Skull in a shocking shade of Hot Pink, shimmering like a Disco Ball meets Día de los Muertos. Yes, Michael’s already has their Halloween decorations on display — which is no surprise to anyone who knows the retail holiday schedule — but this particular find instantly caught my eye for reasons beyond spooky season. Happy Halloween From the East Village
Halloween snuck up on me this year — boo! — but fortunately I have this super fun and spooky mural (artist unknown) to share with you and bring the haunting spirit of the occasion to this rad blog. Here we have a full wall — also playing host to an ATM — depicting a trio of cackling jack o’ lanterns lounging in a graveyard, as bats circle a mysterious, hilltop castle looming in the background. Yes, it seems to have everything needed to have a Happy Halloween!

Instagram Post of The Week: Halloween Monster Cake!

What a delight it was to see this tiered Halloween-themed cake right up front. So scary cute! Whatever your plans (or lack thereof ), have a safe and enjoyable Halloween!

Instagram Photo of The Week: Spooky Halloween Brownstone
I passed by this cool Brownstone last week and just had to snap a photo of its fun Halloween decor, including three witches at a cauldron out front, and an entire posse of frolicking skeletons on the balcony. After Halloween had to be canceled last year, NYC is all-in for this year’s celebrations. Some of the decorations that people have up on their buildings are just insane. And that’s how we like it.
