This September will mark the 20th anniversary of the 9/11 terrorist attacks. In commemoration, the AKC and Museum of the Dog will honor the Search and Rescue Dogs that participated in the 9/11 rescue and recovery efforts by sponsoring an art contest for which everyone is encouraged to participate, no matter your age or artistic ability.
Galentine’s Day, a holiday where ladies come together to celebrate other ladies (made popular by the TV show Parks and Recreation) traditionally takes place before Valentine’s Day. But since we are living in a Covid Time Warp, we can celebrate Galentine’s Day whenever we want, because rules no longer apply! That said, the team at US Dish (an authorized reseller of DISH Network Satellite TV) wants to offer one lucky person the dream job, where you can earn $2,000 for one evening’s work — all one the guise of a Galentine’s Day bash! You might remember that last year, US Dish paid someone $1,000 to watch 15 hours of The Office. This job is even sweeter: US Dish will pay someone $2,000 to watch movies with their friends, virtually! To give people more time to submit their applications, US Dish has extended the deadline for applying to February 26th, 2021.
Here are the main ‘Job Requirements‘:
What: US Dish is looking to pay someone $2,000 to host a virtual rom-com watch party for their best pals!
Why: They believe that spending time with the people we love is important. It’s been a difficult year to get together with friends and tell them just how much they’re appreciated, so they are offering this stress-free dream job — because who wouldn’t want to get paid for (virtually) hanging out with their friends?
How: The winner will complete the job from the comfort of their own home, in their PJs, or all decked out — who cares?
The Must-Dos: The winner will have to watch three (3) movies with their best friends, and then complete a task sheet.
The Optional Dos: Decorate, get matching jammies, hang some balloons — this is your party and the options are endless. If you’re lazy and plan on turning off the lights so your friends don’t see the mess around you, that’s cool, too!
The Perks: US Dish will dish out $2,000 to the winner of the Dream Job, and they’ll also pay for all streaming access, and a video conferencing tool. You’ll also receive a Swag Bag (worth over $200) full of heart-shaped candies, snacks, a warm blanket, empowerment books, and more. But wait, there’s more: the host and their friends will be provided with a delivery dining credit as well! Mangia!
Interested candidates can easily apply online at This Link! Applications are open now through February 26th, 12:00 Noon Mountain Time! Good Luck!
Being a bit of a foodie, but also someone who is not very experimental when it comes to my own cooking, the thing I miss most since NYC went into lockdown is eating a variety of foods. Fortunately, there are many tasty frozen food options (especially when you are looking for breakfast foods that are different, tasty, and also convenient) and one of my favorite discoveries is Bantam Bagels stuffed bagel bites. I was first turned-on to Bantam Bagels delicious mini stuffed-bagels at the Summer Fancy Food Show in 2018, where I was blown away by the innovative taste of oven- toasted bagels stuffed with scrambled eggs and cheese. Two thumbs up, for sure!
If you’d like to give Bantam Bagels a try, and happen to be among the Graduating Class of 2020, check this out: through May 22nd, Bantam Bagels is running a campaign for graduating seniors. To celebrate graduation, and the stuffed Bantam Pretzel Bagel (pictured above), the company is giving three (3) Graduating Seniors a chance to win a year’s supply of Mini Stuffed Bagels!
Here’s How To Enter:
- Post your Senior Picture — or nominate a friend with their photo — on Instagram
- Tag @bantambagels and use hashtag #bantamsforayear
- Tell us why you/they deserve to win this reward in the caption!
This Pretzel Bagel stuffed with Cheddar Dijon Cream Cheese is Oprah’s personal favorite, so you know it must be good. Please share this post with any graduates you know, and wish them good luck!
MrSkin.com, the internet’s number one source for celebrity nudity, announces the launch of a brand-new social media contest, #MrSkinChallenge, for a chance to win $1,200. Fans can show off their artistic skills AND win cold hard cash by simply drawing, sketching or painting a famous nude scene or sexy celeb moment, then posting the results on Facebook, Twitter and/or Instagram.
“While people wait for their government stimulus checks, we thought we would stimulate the economy ourselves with THREE $1,200 checks up for grabs,” said a Mr. Skin rep. “During these trying times of pandemic quarantine and self-isolation, we’re doing our part to help!”
Planning a Wedding can get pretty expensive; it is just a fact. Wedding dresses, especially, cost thousands of dollars for an outfit that (if you are very lucky) you will wear just once in your lifetime. That does not seem terribly cost effective to me. For some, saving money on weddings is more than a hobby, and barely less than an obsession. Laura Gawne and Susan Bain, the ladies who operate the popular websites Cheap Chic Weddings and T P Dress Contest have a few hints to help you save money on your wedding, and on the dress in particular. If you have a flare for design, why not consider making your dress out of Toilet Paper? Yes, I just typed that.
The 2017 edition of the annual Toilet Paper Wedding Dress Contest is now open, and Cheap Chic Weddings is thrilled to welcome their new Presenting Sponsor, Quilted Northern Toilet Paper! Since 2004, the Cheap Chic Weddings Toilet Paper Wedding Dress Contest has challenged creative minds from across the country to create a wearable, on-trend wedding dress and headpiece from only toilet paper, glue, tape and needle and thread.
Quilted Northern® is excited to supply toilet paper that has been crafted with the highest attention-to-detail for over 100 years – making it luxurious enough for a wedding dress. Contestants have until June 5, 2017 to submit their paper masterpieces. The Top Ten entries will be chosen, and then online voting will be open to the public.
The top ten dresses and their designers will be flown to New York City to participate in a live fashion show finale event at a fabulous Peerspace Event Space in New York City on July 20, 2017, where the top three winners will be chosen!
At the Finale Event, the dress entries will be judged by Cheap Chic Weddings founders, a representative from Quilted Northern®, a representative from Sponsor Ripley’s Believe It or Not! and celebrity guest judges Actor, Singer, Producer and Author Jenna Ushkowitz, as well as Mikie Russo, Celebrity Party Planner and Lifestyle Expert!
“We are always excited to see what our talented contestants dream up.” says Susan Bain, Co-Founder of Cheap Chic Weddings. “We can’t wait to see how our contestants will work with the meticulously designed Quilted Northern® Toilet Paper! “We know it will be a wonderful match!” added co-founder Laura Gawne.
The Grand Prize winner will receive $10,000, the second place winner will receive $5000 and the third place winner will receive $2500.
Here’s How to Enter:
First: Plan your design.
Second: Grab some Quilted Northern Toilet Paper (Quilted Northern Ultra Plush or Quilted Northern Ultra Soft & Strong, or Both), tape, glue and/or needle and thread (that’s all you can use)! To help offset the cost of designing these memorable creations; Quilted Northern is providing coupons by request by emailing TPDresscontest@gmail.com.
Third: Make the dress and headpiece on your model or mannequin and take a few clear, well-lit, unaltered digital photos (front, back and side). The dress must be able to be worn by a human!
All photos and an Official Entry form are to be submitted to Cheap Chic Weddings at TPDresscontest@gmail.com by June 5, 2017 at 11:00 PM EST. There is no entry fee. The Judging Panel at Cheap Chic Weddings will judge the initial digital photo entries.
