Agathe Labaye is an architect and Florian Sumi a visual artist. After a career in their respective fields, the two began their collaboration in the spring 2018, with their first collection of furniture, entitled Le Salon. Hans Wegner (1914–2007) was a Danish furniture designer known for his iconic mid-century modern designs, of which the Peacock Easy Chair (model JH521), is a classic example. The Easy Chair, Peacock model is a variation of his iconic Peacock Chair (model JH550, designed in 1947), which is highly-regarded for its unique and visually striking backrest, resembling the graceful fan of a peacock’s tail feathers.
