Stars and Javelins are two reoccurring themes in the work of Italian sculptor, performance artist and conceptual artist Gilberto Zorio (Born 1944), who is an artist I admit I don’t know much about. I like the reflective qualities of this piece however, and the fact that it is a sculpture mounted on the wall, which is always fun. Crystal Star with Javelins is part of the permanent collection at the Museum of Modern Art in New York City.

Sometimes, you can see something so beautiful that it invades your imagination forever. I have been a fan of Glass Artist Dale Chihuly for years, but have never seen a comprehensive exhibit of his large scale works in person until I had the opportunity to visit Chihuly Garden and Glass during my recent stay in Seattle. While it is inarguably a beautiful city with innumerable natural attractions and tourist destinations, if you can visit only one notable spot on a trip to Seattle, go to Chihuly Garden and Glass. This photo reminds me of the time that Geoffrey walked with full velocity into a glass door at a Chelsea art gallery, because the glass was so clean he thought the door was open. He was uninjured, thank god, but we still talk about it, because it was funny!
