It’s always fun and special dining at a restaurant with beautiful interior decor. You might be surprised to hear that I’ve discovered an Italian restaurant that emulates the intimate feel of dining in the home of well-to-do friends, while offering a variety of excellent regional dishes unequaled in a venue of its size. Do you like pastry? I sure do, but my favorite pastry shop in my east village neighborhood closed years ago and now everything is a trek. Fortunately, I just discovered an amazing pastry shop and café that’s literally across the street from my office. Let me introduce you to Masseria Caffé!
Paolo Buffa (1903 – 1970) was an Italian architect and designer best known for his designs of mid-century furniture. Characterized by a melding of tradition and modernity, he used a combination of low-profile, rectilinear, and hardwood forms to produce his most classic pieces. This pair of Rose-colored Velvet Upholstered Armchairs from the 1960s are examples of his dedication to superior craftsmanship.
