The Meeting Place statue is a prominent feature in St. Pancras International Station in London. Created by sculptor Paul Day, it was unveiled in 2007 as part of the station’s extensive refurbishment.  The bronze statue stands an impressive 9 meters (approximately 30 feet) tall. Depicting a man and woman embracing in a romantic farewell or reunion, symbolizing love and connection often associated with travel, it’s also know as the Lovers Statue. The annual International Contemporary Furniture Fair  (ICFF),  is the showcase event of New York Design Week and by definition a fantastic place to see all of the latest trends in furniture and interior design. It’s also an ideal venue for spotting some of the coolest-looking and most sharply dressed people in Manhattan at any given time. Look at this handsome gentleman in his Hot Pink Suit, accented by a revealingly-ripped white T-shirt, with pristine white sneakers completing the outfit. He looks amazing! Thank you, unidentified man, for posing for me in your fabulous Pink Suit, and for being this week’s Pink Thing of The Day!

Geminis are a unique breed. While they maintain a cool, extroverted exterior, they balance their impulses and indecisiveness. If you or your loved one is a Gemini, you can also book a professional reading to get a better understanding of your personality traits.

Each day in NYC there is something to newly discover, no matter how long it’s been there.  I am rarely on the block of East 3rd Street between Avenues A and B, but I had occasion to walk that block during this past Sunday’s lovely snow storm. Because I always have an eye peeled for things that might be fun for the blog, I made the charming discovery that most of the buildings on the north side of the block (because that is the side I was on) have these cute and colorful ceramic tile mosaics on their facades, mostly around the doorways and near the steps.

Check out this cool custom gate that caught my eye as I was walking around in Chelsea the other day! The whimsical design is based on the iconic image of the Man in the Moon (with a space capsule embedded through one eye) from the 1902 French adventure film, A Trip to the Moon.

Spotted on 21st Street between 8th and 9th Avenues in Chelsea, NYC.
