Every now and then, Trader Joe’s sneaks something onto the shelves that looks innocent enough—until you bring it home and realize you’ve developed a full emotional attachment to it. Their Dress Circle (meaning fancy!) Crispy Crunchy Chocolate Chip Cookies are exactly that kind of snack.

Sold in a generous one-pound tub (yes, a full pound), these tiny cookies somehow manage to feel both adorable and dangerously addictive. I didn’t stop to count them, but the container claims around 200 cookies, which feels accurate based on how often I keep reaching back in for “just one more.” The best part? They genuinely taste homemade—like the kind of perfectly crisp, buttery little cookies you wish you could bake yourself if only your patience extended to making cookies the size of quarters.

Easter Bunny Cake

While grabbing a sandwich at Paris Baguette, I spotted this adorable Bunny Cake in the pastry case and had to snap a pic. Shaped like a bunny and filled with strawberry and banana swirled roll cake (omg), this little guy is coated in luscious vanilla buttercream and sprinkled all over with coconut for that authentically  “fuzzy” appearance. It’s a centerpiece, a dessert, and a conversation starter all in one. Hoppy Easter, indeed!

Torres’s version gave them a Halloween makeover, turning them into Pumpkin-man shapes. Creepy!

Do you like cookies? I sure do. But I’ll admit, I’m a bit of a cookie snob. Most store-bought, packaged cookies just don’t do it for me. I want cookies to feel special — whether that means homemade-tasting, healthy, artisan, or just thoughtfully crafted. That’s why I love reviewing cookies from smaller, high-quality brands; I always suspect they’ll be delicious. And in the case of Isabella’s Cookie Company, I was right — these cookies are seriously yum. Let’s take a closer look.

The most significant changes in life are often unplanned. During the pandemic lockdown, I was able to lose 10 to 12 pounds and have miraculously kept it off for the past two years. That kind of weight loss for a not-super-active woman of my age (who, let’s be honest, loves food) is a big deal.
